World debt record: $ 86,000 per person
Global debt has risen to more than $ 180 trillion last year, hitting its highest level ever, and nearly $ 2 trillion higher than previously estimated by the International Monetary Fund in October.
According to the data, the average per capita global debt was $ 86,000, which is higher than the average per capita income by two and a half times.
Global debt stood at 184 trillion dollars, or 225 percent of GDP, in 2017, according to the latest IMF data.
The data indicated that this increase in global debt was the result of increased public debt in developed economies and private debt in emerging market economies.
The world's top three borrowers - the United States, China and Japan - account for more than half of the world's debt and over their share of GDP.
